Serving Homeless Community Members with Dignity, Respect, and Christ-like Love
Whether it be a warm meal, a safe place to sleep, or a connection to local resources, LifePath Christian Ministries has been meeting the needs of homeless and hurting neighbors in York for six decades.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, LifePath has seen an increased demand for services. The needs of the community one month can double the next. To continue to change lives, LifePath is grateful for the dedicated support of the Powder Mill Foundation.
With contributions from the Powder Mill Foundation, LifePath Christian Ministries has been able to make improvements to the building where community members find a safe place to rest.
Organizations like LifePath stem from community members looking out for one another, something Louis J. Appell, Jr. cared deeply about. He recognized the importance of taking someone’s hand, looking them in the eye, and telling them they are wanted in this community.
LifePath CEO Norman Humber joined the organization in July 2021. He says consistency in the board’s vision will push LifePath to build a more impactful future.
It’s LifePath’s goal to ensure those resources are here for years to come, and that members of the York community know they can find true life transformation at LifePath.

Wanting to be a place of hope for the hurting, LifePath says its mission is to serve and extend the love of Christ to the men, women, and children who come to their doors.
Through thoughtful strategy, continued facility improvements, and strengthened community partnerships, LifePath Christian Ministries will continue to change lives.
