Leaving a Legacy of Shared Beauty
In addition to their many philanthropic ventures, Louis J. Appell and his wife, Jody, were also gifted horticulturalists. They spent over 40 years creating multiple gardens settings in the classic English style at Millbourne, their estate home. It was Louis’ dream that after their passing, the 50-acre gardens at Millbourne would be opened to the public for the community to enjoy.
